A beautiful heritage timber building in a peaceful valley, just 20km from Brisbane,
available for weddings, celebrations, regular classes, workshops and community events.
The Upper Brookfield Hall has been at the heart of this community since 1934. It seats up to 100 guests and comes with everything you need for a memorable occasion — all set in a leafy, tranquil valley setting.
Hire is offered on a limited basis and is subject to approval by the Hall Trustees, in keeping with the spirit of our community. Our hire conditions are designed to protect our neighbours and keep the valley the special place it is.

Evening Mon–Thu (6pm–10pm) - $300
Evening Fri–Sat (6pm–10pm) - $400
Daytime (per hour, until 6pm) - $50 / hr
Meetings & small gatherings - $40 / hr

Full Weekend Package
Fri–Sun hire - $1,500
+ Thu set-up day (optional) - $200
+ Mon pack-down day (optional) - $200

By direct bank transfer to: Upper Brookfield Hall Trust — BSB 124 029, Account 21975543. Please use "Your Name dep." as the payment reference. You can also pay in person at the bar during events.

The hire fee and bond must be paid in full 30 days before your event. Keys will not be released until payment has been received.

The bond is a security deposit held against any damage, noise complaints, or cleaning costs. If all hire conditions are met, it's refunded after the next monthly Management Committee meeting — held on the first Wednesday of each month.
Bookings & Payments

Absolutely — the hall is a genuinely beautiful setting for a wedding. The wedding hire fee of $1,250 covers Friday through to Sunday. If you need access on Thursday for set-up or Monday for pack-down, an additional $200 per day applies — making a full Thu–Mon package $1,650. The $2,000 bond and full hire fee are due 30 days before your event.

Yes, with prior approval. All third-party suppliers, food trucks, hire companies, portable toilets, buses must be included in an event plan submitted to Hall Management ahead of your event. Hirers are responsible for the behaviour and noise of all suppliers.

Buses may only turn around at the corner of Upper Brookfield Rd and Pacey Rd, near the Upper Brookfield State School. Bus contractors should be made aware of this before your event.
Weddings

The venue capacity is strictly limited to 100 persons.

Monday to Saturday: 7:00am–10:00pm. Sunday: 8:00am–6:00pm. The venue must be fully vacated by these times.

Yes, inside the hall. All amplified music must finish by 9:00pm sharp and cannot be broadcast outside the building — including into marquees or outdoor areas. We ask hirers to be genuinely considerate of our neighbours; sound travels a long way in the valley.

Yes, along Upper Brookfield Road. No vehicles are permitted inside the picket fence for any reason — all deliveries must be brought in on foot.

We recommend hirers arrange their own public liability insurance. The hall's existing cover does not extend to hirers or their guests.

Yes, we love having regular groups, classes, and workshops make the hall their home. Get in touch to discuss availability and we'll work out an arrangement that suits you.
